ASTM A270 sanitary stainless steel tube requires strict production standards. Every step, from raw material selection to final inspection, has a direct impact on the tube’s hygienic performance and service life.
Raw Material Selection
Production starts with careful raw material selection. We source high-quality stainless steel coils directly from China’s three major stainless steel mills: TISCO, BAOSTEEL, and TSINGSHAN.
The materials cover grades 304, 304L, 316, and 316L. Every batch comes with a Mill Test Report from the original mill. This confirms that the chemical composition and mechanical properties meet ASTM standards. It also ensures full quality control from the very beginning.
Production Process
We use fully automatic high-frequency water-cooled welding machines to form the tubes. Nitrogen gas is used during welding to protect the weld seam. This process ensures the tubes are 100% bendable and the welds are stable and crack-free.
After forming, the tubes go through polishing on both the inner and outer surfaces. This prevents fluid residue and bacterial growth inside the tube, and keeps the surface clean enough for sanitary applications.
Quality Inspection and Testing
Every batch of A270 tubes goes through a strict multi-step inspection process before shipment. This includes dimensional checks, surface quality inspection, eddy current testing, and salt spray testing. We check the weld integrity, corrosion resistance, and overall quality of each tube. Every tube must meet ASTM A270 requirements before it leaves our facility.
